LT+3.0 Status Update: In Progress

A bit about LT+3.0 before we go any further. LT+3.0 is being created in response to the silent updates that Microsoft was able to do about a month ago. You were not prompted for this update, and you did not have a choice to do this update. If you were on Xbox Live at the time, you were silently update. The silent update involved changing the DAE tables so that retail disks had to give different responses in order to pass the checks. Back-up disks were not prepared for these checks, and so was not LT+2.0. Even if we prepare the disks with the current checks, Microsoft can change the table at any time and our back-ups will fail those checks immediately, thus leading to a risk for a ban. LT+3.0 will combat these silent updates and DAE table changes by creating a profile that contains all possible checks and responses so that any changes Microsoft throws, the firmware will be able to handle. With that, disks will also need to be re-burned and patched with with topology that contains the profile of responses. So with all that said, here is the status of LT+3.0:

Hitachi 78/79 (Phat) In Progress since 2011-12-07
BenQ In Progress since 2011-12-07
Lite-On DG-16D2S (Phat) In Progress since 2011-12-07
Lite-On DG-16D4S 0272 (Slim) In Progress since 2011-12-07
Lite-On DG-16D4S 0225 (Slim) In Progress since 2011-12-07
Lite-On DG-16D4S 0401 (Slim) In Progress since 2011-12-07
Lite-On DG-16D4S 1071 (Slim) In Progress since 2011-12-07
Lite-On DG-16D5S 1175 (Slim) No Progress since 2011-12-07
Hitachi 0500 (Slim) No Progress since 2011-12-07

If you are wondering why Samsung drives and Hitachi pre-78 drives are not getting LT+3.0, it is because they do not recognize and use AP2.5 challenges (checks). Therefore no firmware is needed to continue to play XGD3 and AP2.5 back-ups.
